I began my work as a financial advisor immediately upon graduating from the University of Michigan in 1992. I worked as an apprentice to learn the various skills necessary. Within a year, I had mastered those skills well enough to begin building my own business as a financial advisor. Over the years, I have worked with thousands of clients from a wide variety of backgrounds, with a huge variation in access to resources and with a significant range of levels of interest in their finances. The portion of financial planning that I am most passionate about is investment planning: the area where the results of my efforts show most easily in the value and growth of my clients' portfolios. I have followed the financial market trends for decades and have had much success in assessing those trends and using them to help clients grow their portfolios. I prefer to recommend Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and individual stocks to give clients the appropriate growth potential.
